Levada do Alecrim

This roughly 9 km trail takes about 3.5 hours to complete and is relatively easy, with only a few steep or narrow sections. Along the way you cross dense forests, green meadows and rocky escarpments, home to a great diversity of Madeiran flora and fauna. One of the highlights is Lagoa de Dona Beja, where the flowing water and the mist from the waterfall make for a refreshing stop.
